  1. Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring clear and effective communication for patients who speak a language other than English.
  2. Provide exceptional care and support to patients from diverse backgrounds, taking into consideration their unique needs and cultural differences.
  3. Utilize strong communication skills in both English and another language to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare providers.
  4. Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed and resolved in a timely and compassionate manner.
  5. Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and facilitate patient appointments, procedures, and follow-up care.
  6. Stay up-to-date on healthcare policies, procedures, and resources to effectively assist patients in navigating the healthcare system.
  7. Demonstrate empathy, cultural sensitivity, and understanding towards patients and their families to build trust and rapport.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and ensure confidentiality of all patient information.
  9. Assist in the development and implementation of culturally appropriate programs and resources to better serve diverse patient populations.
  10. Continuously seek ways to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes through effective communication and support.

Job Qualifications
  • Fluency In At Least Two Languages, Including English And A Commonly Spoken Language In The Local Community (E.g. Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic, Etc.)

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Providers From Diverse Cultural And Linguistic Backgrounds.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures, With The Ability To Accurately Interpret And Explain Medical Information To Patients In Their Preferred Language.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Patient-Facing Role, With A Proven Track Record Of Providing Exceptional Customer Service.

  • Cultural Competency And Sensitivity, With An Understanding Of The Unique Needs And Challenges Faced By Patients From Diverse Backgrounds, And The Ability To Provide Culturally Appropriate Care And Support.
