- Provide support to the Anesthesiologist: Assist the Anesthesiologist in preparing and administering anesthesia to patients, ensuring proper dosage and monitoring patient's vital signs.
- Maintain and prepare equipment: Set up and maintain anesthesia equipment, including machines, monitors, and supplies, ensuring they are in proper working condition. Clean and sterilize equipment after each use.
- Monitor patient's condition: Monitor patient's vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels, during surgery and report any changes to the Anesthesiologist.
- Assist with patient positioning: Help position patients for surgery and ensure their comfort and safety during the procedure.
- Maintain accurate records: Record patient's anesthesia information, such as medication doses, vital signs, and any complications during surgery, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Ensure safety protocols: Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines at all times to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: Communicate effectively with other healthcare team members, including surgeons, nurses, and technicians, to provide coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Stock and order supplies: Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure the availability of necessary equipment and medications.
- Participate in training and education: Stay updated on the latest advancements and techniques in anesthesia technology by attending workshops, conferences, and other educational opportunities.
- Provide exceptional patient care: Demonstrate a compassionate and caring attitude towards patients and their families, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care during their time at the healthcare institution.
Certified Anesthesia Technician: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Possess A Current Certification As An Anesthesia Technician From An Accredited Organization, Such As The American Society Of Anesthesia Technologists And Technicians (Asatt).
Experience In A Hospital Setting: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Anesthesia Technician In A Hospital Or Healthcare Facility. This Experience Should Include A Thorough Understanding Of Operating Room Procedures And Equipment.
Knowledge Of Anesthesia Equipment: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Working Knowledge Of Various Anesthesia Equipment, Including Anesthesia Machines, Ventilators, Monitors, And Infusion Pumps. They Should Also Have The Ability To Troubleshoot And Maintain This Equipment.
