- Provide safe and effective anesthesia care to patients under the supervision of a licensed anesthesiologist.
- Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, including monitoring devices and supplies.
- Set up and assist with invasive and non-invasive monitoring procedures, such as arterial lines and central venous catheters.
- Administer medications and fluids as directed by the anesthesiologist.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes or abnormalities.
- Document and maintain accurate records of anesthesia procedures and patient responses.
- Collaborate with other members of the anesthesia team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures regarding infection control, safety, and patient privacy.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide quality care and address any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Comply with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development.
- Act as a resource and mentor for less experienced Anesthesia Critical Care Technologists.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct at all times.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with data collection and analysis.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Anesthesia Department or hospital administration.
Bachelor's Degree In Anesthesia Technology Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Current Certification As An Anesthesia Technician Or Technologist From The American Society Of Anesthesia Technologists And Technicians (Asatt).
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Critical Care Setting, Preferably In A Level I Trauma Center.
Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting Anesthesia Equipment, Including Ventilators, Monitors, And Infusion Pumps.
Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
