Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant, General Accounting position is responsible for various month-end close activities specific to the General Accounting department as well as other areas within the Company. Prepares and processes journal entries and accruals, and analyze key account reconciliations or other internal reporting as outlined on the Department Checklist. Leads and provides reporting of actual spend versus budget/forecast analysis to the supported business, along with any follow-up related to large variances. Reconciles submitted budgets to the financial plan / forecast for the IT area, along with any follow-up related to any variances to the budget. Supports the processing, tracking, and reporting related to all non-merchandise purchasing contracts. Includes ensuring contracts contain all relevant information and facilitate follow-up communication with business areas as needed.
In-depth knowledge of retail financials and the ability to manage a P&L line-by-line
MBA in Accountancy or FInance preferred
