- Develop and write high-quality, scientifically accurate content for various medical and healthcare projects, including clinical trial protocols, study reports, regulatory documents, and publications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical research, regulatory affairs, and business development, to ensure accurate and timely delivery of written materials.
- Conduct extensive research and literature reviews to support the development of scientifically sound and evidence-based content.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and deliverables, as well as compliance with industry standards and guidelines.
- Edit and review written materials for accuracy, consistency, and clarity, as well as adherence to company and client style guidelines.
- Use a variety of communication styles and formats to effectively convey complex scientific information to diverse audiences, including healthcare professionals, regulatory authorities, and patients.
- Stay updated on current industry trends, regulations, and guidelines to ensure the accuracy and relevance of written materials.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior medical writers, as well as assist in the training and development of new team members.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, as needed, to provide expertise and guidance on medical writing projects.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of internal processes and procedures related to medical writing and content development.
Advanced Education And Experience: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Or Medical Communications Is Required. A Master's Degree Or Higher Is Preferred. Additionally, At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Medical Writing, Preferably In A Pharmaceutical Or Healthcare Setting, Is Required.
Comprehensive Knowledge Of Medical Writing Guidelines: The Candidate Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Guidelines And Regulations Related To Medical Writing, Including Ich-Gcp, Fda, And Ema Guidelines. Knowledge Of Industry-Specific Style Guides, Such As Ama Or Cse, Is Also Desirable.
Excellent Writing And Communication Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Exceptional Writing Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Scientific Information To Various Audiences. They Must Also Possess Excellent Grammar, Spelling, And Punctuation Skills.
Project Management Experience: A Senior Medical Writer Should Have Experience Managing Multiple Writing Projects Simultaneously And Meeting Strict Deadlines. They Should Also Have Experience Managing Cross-Functional Teams And Coordinating With Various Stakeholders, Such As Clinical Teams And Regulatory Affairs.
Technical Skills: Proficiency In Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, And Other Relevant Software Is Essential. Experience With Document Management Systems And Electronic Publishing Tools Is Also Desirable. Knowledge Of Statistical Analysis And Data Interpretation Is A Plus.
