  1. Develop and maintain efficient, high-quality statistical programs and analysis datasets for clinical trials and research projects.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of statistical outputs.
  3. Utilize statistical programming languages (e.g. SAS, R) to manipulate and analyze large and complex datasets.
  4. Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  5. Generate tables, listings, and figures for clinical study reports, manuscripts, and other deliverables.
  6. Participate in protocol and statistical analysis plan development, providing input on data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  7. Stay current with industry standards and best practices in statistical programming and apply them to projects.
  8. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior statistical programmers.
  9. Contribute to the development and improvement of departmental processes and procedures.
  10. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including presenting results at team meetings and client interactions.
  11. Adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality work within agreed-upon deadlines.
  12. Actively participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  13. Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement innovative solutions for data analysis and reporting.
  14. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory guidelines and company standard operating procedures.
  15. Support and contribute to IQVIA's mission to improve human health through data-driven research and development.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Statistical Programming Skills: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Statistical Programming Languages Such As Sas, R, And Python. They Should Be Able To Write Efficient And Error-Free Code To Manipulate And Analyze Large Datasets.

  • Experience With Clinical Trial Data: The Principal Statistical Programmer Should Have A Strong Background In Clinical Trial Data And Its Management. They Should Be Familiar With Industry Standards And Best Practices For Data Collection, Cleaning, And Analysis.

  • Leadership Abilities: As A Principal, This Individual Will Be Expected To Lead A Team Of Statistical Programmers On Various Projects. They Should Have Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills To Effectively Manage And Delegate Tasks.

  • Advanced Degree In Statistics Or Related Field: A Master's Or Phd In Statistics, Biostatistics, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For A Principal Statistical Programmer Position. This Level Of Education Demonstrates A Strong Foundation In Statistical Theory And Methods.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Regulatory Guidelines And Requirements For Clinical Trials, Such As Fda And Ich Guidelines. This Knowledge Is Crucial For Ensuring The Accuracy And Compliance Of Statistical Programming Outputs.
