Job Description

IQVIA is seeking a highly motivated Principal Statistical Programmer to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about data, has an eye for detail, and can bring an innovative approach to programming and analysis.The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, or a related field with at least 8 years of experience in statistical programming and analysis, preferably in a clinical research setting. They should have an understanding of the principles of clinical trial design and the statistical methods used in clinical research. Expertise in SAS programming is required, including working knowledge of SAS Macro and SQL. Furthermore, the Principal Statistical Programmer should have experience with data management systems and electronic data capture (EDC) systems.Excellent problem solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, are essential for this role. The successful candidate will be highly organized and able to take ownership of their work and demonstrate strong time management skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop programming specifications, programs, and statistical reports to support clinical studies
  2. Execute and validate SAS programs for data analysis and reporting of clinical study results
  3. Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders
  4. Monitor data quality and integrity
  5. Ensure data is accurately reported in compliance with regulatory and standard operating procedures
  6. Monitor industry trends and best practices related to statistical programming
  7. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation
  8. Train and mentor other statistical programmers and data analysts
  9. Collaborate with other departments and functional teams to ensure smooth operations
  10. Provide expert guidance on statistical programming and analysis techniques
