  1. Accurately process medical bills and insurance claims for patients and their families.
  2. Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all billing and insurance information.
  3. Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve any billing or claim issues.
  4. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  5. Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate billing.
  6. Address and resolve any patient inquiries or concerns regarding medical bills.
  7. Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile billing discrepancies.
  8. Stay updated on changes in insurance policies and coding procedures.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
  10. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all billing and coding tasks.
  11. Keep track of outstanding bills and follow up with insurance companies for timely payments.
  12. Work efficiently to meet billing deadlines and maintain productivity.
  13. Prepare and submit regular reports to management on billing and collections.
  14. Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
  15. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Medical Billing And Coding: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Billing And Coding Processes, Including Cpt, Icd-10, And Hcpcs Codes. This Will Ensure Accurate And Efficient Processing Of Medical Claims.

  • Familiarity With Insurance Reimbursement: A Patient Support Medical Biller Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Insurance Policies, Procedures, And Regulations Related To Medical Billing. This Includes Knowledge Of Insurance Plans, Eligibility, And Claim Submission Processes.

  • Attention To Detail: Accuracy Is Crucial In Medical Billing, As Errors Can Result In Claim Denials And Delays In Reimbursement. Candidates Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Spot Inconsistencies Or Discrepancies In Medical Records And Claims.

  • Communication Skills: A Patient Support Medical Biller Will Be In Regular Communication With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Insurance Companies. Strong Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Necessary To Effectively Resolve Billing Inquiries And Communicate With Stakeholders.

  • Organizational Skills: With Multiple Patients, Providers, And Insurance Companies To Manage, A Patient Support Medical Biller Should Have Strong Organizational Skills To Keep Track Of Medical Records, Claims, And Payments. They Should Also Be Able To Prioritize Tasks And Meet Deadlines In A Fast-Paced Environment.
