Job Description

  1. Oversee and monitor the safety and efficacy of clinical trials conducted by IQVIA.
  2. Utilize expertise and knowledge of medical terminology and clinical research to assess and analyze data from trials.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to protocol and regulatory requirements.
  4. Review and interpret medical data and provide recommendations for any necessary changes to the trial.
  5. Act as a medical resource for the clinical trial team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines.
  7. Conduct medical review of adverse events, protocol deviations, and other safety concerns.
  8. Communicate regularly with investigators and study teams to address any medical concerns and ensure accurate reporting.
  9. Lead and participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders to discuss trial progress and any necessary actions.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements in medical technology and research.
  11. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all activities and decisions related to the trial.
  12. Proactively identify potential risks or issues and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  13. Train and mentor other team members on medical monitoring processes and procedures.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve medical monitoring processes to enhance efficiency and quality.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree Or Equivalent: A Medical Monitor At Iqvia Should Have A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution Or Equivalent Qualification, Such As A Pharmd Or Phd. This Ensures That The Individual Has A Strong Foundation In Medical Knowledge And Terminology.

  • Prior Experience In Clinical Research: Candidates For The Medical Monitor Position Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In The Pharmaceutical Or Biotech Industry, With A Focus On Clinical Research. This Experience Should Include A Strong Understanding Of Clinical Trial Design, Protocol Development, And Regulatory Requirements.

  • Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills: As A Medical Monitor, One Must Be Able To Review And Analyze Complex Medical Data, Including Safety And Efficacy Data, And Make Informed Decisions Based On That Data. Strong Critical Thinking Skills Are Essential To Identify Potential Issues And Develop Appropriate Solutions.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Medical Monitor Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Various Stakeholders, Including Study Teams, Regulatory Agencies, And External Partners. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building And Maintaining Relationships, As Well As Presenting Complex Medical Information In A Clear And Concise Manner.

  • Attention To Detail And Ability To Work Independently: The Role Of A Medical Monitor Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Ensure Accuracy And Completeness Of Medical Data. Additionally, The Individual Should Be Able To Work Independently And Manage Multiple Tasks And Priorities Effectively, With Minimal Supervision. This Demonstrates The Ability To Work Autonomously And Make Sound Decisions.
