- Manage relationships with external vendors: Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with vendors involved in clinical trials, including negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of services.
- Oversee vendor selection process: Conduct thorough evaluations of potential vendors, considering factors such as cost, quality, and track record, to ensure the best partners are selected for each trial.
- Monitor vendor performance: Regularly review vendor performance against pre-established metrics and KPIs to ensure quality and efficiency are maintained.
- Identify and resolve issues: Proactively identify and address any issues that may arise with vendors, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and vendors to find effective solutions.
- Develop and manage budgets: Work closely with finance and project management teams to develop and manage budgets for vendor services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets.
- Ensure compliance: Ensure that all vendor activities comply with relevant regulations and standards, both internally and externally.
- Communicate effectively: Maintain open and clear communication with vendors, project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the trial process.
- Drive efficiency and continuous improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve vendor management processes to drive efficiency and quality in clinical trial operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends: Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in vendor management, bringing new ideas and approaches to the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, clinical operations, and data management, to ensure seamless integration of vendor activities with overall trial execution.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Life Sciences, Business Administration, Or Healthcare Management.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Clinical Trials Or Pharmaceutical Industry, With At Least 2 Years In A Vendor Management Role.
Strong Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Coordinate And Manage Multiple Vendors And Projects Simultaneously.
Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Both Internal And External Stakeholders.
Proficiency In Contract Management And Budgeting, With A Strong Understanding Of Clinical Trial Vendor Pricing And Negotiation Strategies.
