  1. Lead and drive the visual design strategy for our products, ensuring alignment with our company's overall design principles and objectives.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and researchers to understand user needs and translate them into visually compelling designs.
  3. Create and maintain a consistent visual design system that can be applied across all products and platforms.
  4. Conduct research and gather feedback to continuously improve the visual design of our products.
  5. Stay updated on design trends and best practices to ensure our products are on par with industry standards.
  6. Use your strong design skills and expertise to ideate and prototype new features and enhancements.
  7. Establish and maintain design guidelines and standards to ensure a cohesive and user-friendly experience across all products.
  8. Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback and helping them grow their skills.
  9. Collaborate with marketing and branding teams to ensure consistency in brand identity and messaging.
  10. Act as a key stakeholder in product design reviews and provide feedback and recommendations to enhance the overall user experience.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Visual Design: A Principal Product Designer At Intuit Should Have A Strong Background In Visual Design, With At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In The Field. They Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Design Principles, Typography, Color Theory, And Layout.

  • Expertise In User-Centered Design: Intuit Prioritizes User-Centered Design, And A Principal Product Designer Should Have A Deep Understanding Of This Approach. They Should Be Able To Conduct User Research, Create User Personas, And Apply Design Thinking Principles To Create Intuitive And User-Friendly Products.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successful Product Design: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Portfolio That Showcases Their Successful Product Design Work. They Should Be Able To Demonstrate How Their Design Solutions Have Positively Impacted The User Experience And Achieved Business Goals.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: A Principal Product Designer At Intuit Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Designers And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams. Therefore, They Should Have Strong Leadership And Management Skills, Including The Ability To Mentor And Guide Junior Designers, Manage Project Timelines And Budgets, And Communicate Effectively With Stakeholders.

  • Familiarity With Design Tools And Processes: Intuit Uses A Variety Of Design Tools And Processes, And The Principal Product Designer Should Have Experience Working With These Tools. This Includes Proficiency In Design Software Such As Adobe Creative Suite, Prototyping Tools Like Figma Or Invision, And Collaboration Tools Like Asana Or Trello. They Should Also Be Familiar With Agile Design Methodologies And Able To Adapt To New Tools And Processes As Needed.
