- Oversee and manage all aspects of revenue recognition for the company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Develop and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures to drive accuracy and efficiency within the process.
- Lead a team of accountants responsible for revenue recognition, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Review and analyze revenue contracts to ensure proper recognition in accordance with GAAP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, legal, and finance to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support to other departments as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in revenue recognition standards and communicate any impacts to the company.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to drive growth and efficiency.
- Prepare and present revenue-related reports and analysis to senior management.
- Assist with external audits and participate in the preparation of financial statements.
- Mentor and train junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge in revenue recognition.
- Act as a subject matter expert and represent the company in revenue recognition discussions with external parties.
- Proactively identify and address any potential risks or issues related to revenue recognition.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all revenue recognition processes.

Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Finance: A Lead Accountant-Revenue Recognition At Intuit Must Possess A Strong Educational Background In Accounting Or Finance To Accurately Handle Complex Revenue Recognition Processes.
Cpa Certification: Having A Certified Public Accountant (Cpa) Certification Is Essential For This Role As It Demonstrates Advanced Knowledge And Expertise In Accounting Principles And Financial Reporting Standards.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Revenue Recognition: Intuit Requires Candidates For This Role To Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Revenue Recognition, Preferably In A Leadership Or Supervisory Position. This Ensures The Candidate Has A Deep Understanding Of Revenue Recognition Principles And Can Effectively Guide And Mentor Team Members.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Lead Accountant-Revenue Recognition, One Must Possess Excellent Analytical Skills To Identify And Resolve Complex Revenue Recognition Issues. This Role Requires A Detail-Oriented Individual Who Can Think Critically And Make Sound Decisions.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Abilities: As A Leader In The Accounting Department, A Lead Accountant-Revenue Recognition Must Have Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Team Members And Other Stakeholders. They Must Also Have The Ability To Lead And Motivate A Team To Achieve Departmental Goals And Objectives.
