
Corporate Counsel - Privacy Data Governance

- Serve as the primary legal expert on privacy and data governance matters for Intuit, ensuring compliance with global privacy laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs to safeguard Intuit's data.
- Provide strategic guidance on privacy and data governance issues, including risk assessment and mitigation.
- Keep up-to-date with evolving privacy laws and regulations and advise on their potential impact on Intuit's business operations.
- Conduct regular reviews of Intuit's data practices and make recommendations for improvement to ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
- Act as a liaison between legal, compliance, and business teams to ensure alignment on privacy and data governance matters.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on privacy and data governance principles and best practices.
- Collaborate with external counsel and regulatory bodies on privacy-related investigations or inquiries.
- Stay informed on industry best practices and trends in privacy and data governance to continuously improve Intuit's practices.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of privacy and data governance activities and documentation.
- Proactively identify potential privacy and data governance risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Represent Intuit's interests in privacy and data governance matters with external stakeholders.
- Uphold and promote a culture of privacy and data governance compliance within the organization.
- Participate in the development of privacy and data governance-related policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by the legal team and management.
Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School, With A Concentration In Privacy And Data Governance.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Practicing Law At A Law Firm Or In-House Legal Department, With A Focus On Privacy And Data Governance.
Strong Understanding Of Domestic And International Privacy Laws, Regulations, And Industry Standards, Such As Gdpr, Ccpa, And Hipaa.
Experience Developing And Implementing Privacy-Related Policies, Procedures, And Training Programs For A Large Corporation.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Advise And Educate Cross-Functional Teams On Privacy And Data Governance Matters.
