Accounting Specialist

As a key member of the Accounting team at InterContinental Hotels, the Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. We are looking for an experienced, reliable and detail-oriented individual who can work in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about working in the hospitality industry.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of previous accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. They must also be able to work independently and have strong organizational and analytical skills. The Accounting Specialist will also need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain day-to-day financial operations of InterContinental Hotels.
2. Analyze financial data for accuracy and accuracy.
3. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
4. Prepare financial statements and reports.
5. Prepare and analyze budgets.
6. Reconcile accounts and manage accounts payable and receivable.
7. Manage cash flow and coordinate with other departments.
8. Develop and implement processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
9. Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
10. Maintain relationships with banks, vendors, and other stakeholders.
11. Ensure timely and accurate filing of taxes and other financial documents.
12. Assist in financial audits.
13. Provide customer service to internal and external customers.
14. Assist with other accounting and finance related tasks.
