  1. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python to ensure the quality and functionality of our platforms and applications.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design test cases that cover all aspects of the product.
  3. Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify and report any issues or defects.
  4. Continuously improve and enhance the automation framework to increase efficiency and effectiveness of testing.
  5. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall quality of the codebase.
  6. Work closely with developers to ensure that bugs are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in automated testing and implement them in our processes.
  8. Proactively identify potential risks and suggest solutions to mitigate them.
  9. Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  10. Collaborate with the QA team to ensure a smooth and efficient testing process.
  11. Communicate testing progress and results to stakeholders and provide recommendations for improvement.
  12. Train and mentor junior team members on automated testing techniques and best practices.
  13. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process.
  14. Act as a subject matter expert on automated testing and provide guidance to the team as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency In Python: A Strong Understanding Of The Python Programming Language Is A Must For A Qa Automation Engineer At Intercontinental Exchange. This Includes Experience With Common Libraries And Frameworks Used In Automation Testing, Such As Selenium And Pytest.

  • Experience With Automation Tools: Candidates Should Have Experience Using Automation Tools And Frameworks, Such As Jenkins, Puppet, Or Ansible. Familiarity With Continuous Integration And Deployment Practices Is Also Important For This Role.

  • Understanding Of Software Testing Principles: A Thorough Understanding Of Software Testing Principles And Methodologies Is Essential For A Qa Automation Engineer. This Includes Knowledge Of Test Planning, Test Case Development, And Defect Tracking.

  • Knowledge Of Financial Markets: Intercontinental Exchange Deals With Financial Trading And Data, So A Candidate With An Understanding Of Financial Markets And Products Would Be Highly Beneficial. This Includes Knowledge Of Financial Data Formats And Protocols, Such As Fix And Swift.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Qa Automation Engineer, The Ability To Analyze Complex Issues And Troubleshoot Problems Is Crucial. Candidates Should Have Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills To Identify And Resolve Issues In A Timely Manner.
