- Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels to ensure products are readily available for customers.
- Organize and maintain a clean and orderly stockroom to improve efficiency and accessibility.
- Receive and unload deliveries, verifying accuracy and reporting any discrepancies.
- Label and price products accurately and clearly for customers and cashiers.
- Collaborate with team members and management to ensure product availability and timely restocking.
- Monitor product expiration dates and rotate stock accordingly to minimize waste.
- Assist customers with locating products and provide exceptional customer service.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move and stock merchandise.
- Follow proper safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work ethic to contribute to a positive team dynamic.
- Proactively identify and report any product or equipment malfunctions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to address any issues or concerns.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance the customer experience.
- Attend training sessions and stay updated on product knowledge and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge Of Inventory Management: A Stock Associate At Ingles Markets Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Inventory Management Procedures And Systems, Such As Fifo (First In First Out) And Lifo (Last In First Out), In Order To Efficiently Manage Stock Levels And Ensure Accuracy.
Attention To Detail: Stock Associates Need To Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Accurately Track And Record Inventory Levels, Check For Damaged Or Expired Products, And Maintain Organized And Visually Appealing Merchandise Displays.
Physical Stamina: The Job Of A Stock Associate At Ingles Markets Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Boxes And Products, Stand For Long Periods Of Time, And Navigate Through The Store And Stockroom.
