In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate pricing and inventory levels throughout our store.   1. Accurately scan and input product prices into the store's computer system.
  2. Conduct regular price checks to ensure pricing accuracy and make necessary adjustments.
  3. Monitor inventory levels and make adjustments as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
  4. Collaborate with purchasing and receiving departments to update pricing and inventory information.
  5. Respond to customer inquiries regarding pricing and product availability.
  6. Ensure that all special pricing, promotions, and discounts are accurately reflected in the system.
  7. Train and assist other team members on proper scanning procedures and protocols.
  8. Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve pricing discrepancies.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficient scanning processes.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and market changes to ensure competitive pricing.
  11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  12. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and improve customer experience.
  13. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or issues related to pricing and inventory.
  14. Participate in inventory and stocktaking activities to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  15. Keep abreast of changes in pricing regulations and laws to ensure compliance.

Job Qualifications

  • Expertise In Inventory Management: A Scanning Coordinator At Ingles Markets Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Inventory Management Principles And Best Practices. This Includes Knowledge Of Stock Levels, Ordering Procedures, And Inventory Tracking Systems.

  • Attention To Detail: The Role Of A Scanning Coordinator Requires A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail. This Includes Ensuring That All Items Are Correctly Labeled And Priced, And That Inventory Counts Are Accurate.

  • Familiarity With Scanning Technology: As The Job Title Suggests, A Scanning Coordinator Should Have Experience Working With Scanning Technology Such As Barcode Scanners And Price Checkers. This Includes Troubleshooting Any Technical Issues That May Arise.

  • Strong Communication Skills: A Scanning Coordinator Is Responsible For Communicating With Various Departments Within The Store, As Well As With Vendors And Customers. Therefore, Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Ingles Markets Is A Busy Retail Environment, And The Scanning Coordinator Must Be Able To Work Efficiently And Accurately Under Pressure. This Includes Being Able To Prioritize Tasks And Meet Tight Deadlines.
