Sourcing Engineer

The Sourcing Engineer builds and leverages strong working relationships with our engineering teams and key suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met, as well as works towards good supplier relationships to achieve maximum advantage for Ingersoll Rand and our customers. Leads Request for Proposal (RFP) process with all stakeholders. Works with suppliers and internal team members to qualify new parts. Negotiates key items with suppliers including pricing, payment terms, lead time, and inventory programs. Records and tracks information as required for timely and accurate measure of performance regarding sourcing activities and savings. Support the plants to help local teams efficiently resolve escalated issues. Leads Procurement NPD activities through preferred supplier programs and RFQ's. Identify gaps to goals and collaboratively develop and support countermeasures and activities to close the gap and exceed targets.
