  1. Develop and implement creative and functional retail space plans that align with the IKEA brand and values.
  2. Conduct thorough research and analysis of customer behavior and market trends to inform retail space design decisions.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including visual merchandising, marketing, and store operations to ensure cohesive and efficient retail space design.
  4. Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using design software.
  5. Utilize space planning principles and techniques to maximize the use of available space and facilitate customer flow.
  6. Continuously review and evaluate existing retail spaces to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to source and procure materials and fixtures for retail space design.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in retail space planning, and make recommendations for implementation.
  9. Communicate and present retail space plans and designs to stakeholders, including senior management.
  10. Ensure all retail spaces are compliant with safety and accessibility regulations.
  11. Manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  12. Train and mentor junior team members on retail space planning principles and techniques.
  13. Act as a brand ambassador for IKEA, representing the company's values and promoting a positive shopping experience for customers.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to company safety protocols.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development in the field of retail space planning.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Interior Design, Architecture, Or Related Field

  • Previous Experience In Retail Space Planning, Preferably In A Home Furnishing Or Furniture Retail Environment

  • Proficiency In Autocad Or Other Drafting Software

  • Strong Understanding Of Ikea's Brand And Design Aesthetic

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work With Cross-Functional Teams And External Vendors.
