  1. Monitor store premises and identify potential safety hazards or security risks.
  2. Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures in accordance with company standards.
  3. Conduct regular safety and security audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Train and educate co-workers on safety procedures and best practices.
  5. Respond quickly and efficiently to any emergency situations, such as accidents or security threats.
  6. Investigate incidents of theft or fraud and work with law enforcement as needed.
  7. Collaborate with store management to develop and implement loss prevention strategies.
  8. Monitor and review CCTV footage to identify any suspicious activity.
  9. Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and security breaches.
  10. Communicate with customers, co-workers, and management regarding safety and security concerns.
  11. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in loss prevention and safety measures.
  12. Assist in the implementation of new safety and security initiatives.
  13. Participate in regular safety and security meetings and provide insights and recommendations.
  14. Conduct regular safety and security trainings for all store employees.
  15. Foster a culture of safety and security awareness among all store employees.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Loss Prevention And Safety Protocols: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Loss Prevention And Safety Procedures, Including Risk Assessment, Emergency Response, And Incident Investigation.

  • Experience In Retail Environment: Previous Experience In A Retail Setting, Especially In A Loss Prevention Or Safety Role, Is Preferred. This Ensures The Candidate Is Familiar With The Unique Challenges And Procedures Of A Retail Environment.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Loss Prevention & Safety Associate, Effective Communication Is Crucial. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Interact With A Diverse Range Of People.

  • Attention To Detail: The Role Of A Loss Prevention & Safety Associate Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail. The Candidate Should Be Able To Identify Potential Safety Hazards And Security Risks, And Take Appropriate Actions To Mitigate Them.

  • Ability To Work Independently: The Candidate Should Be Self-Motivated And Able To Work Independently, As Well As In A Team Environment. This Includes The Ability To Prioritize Tasks, Make Quick Decisions, And Take Initiative To Ensure The Safety And Security Of Ikea's Customers And Employees.
