IKEA is currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Loss Prevention & Safety Associate to join our team. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our store and its customers, while also protecting our assets. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and has a strong knowledge of safety procedures and protocols. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!

  1. Monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and company assets at all times.
  2. Conduct regular safety and security checks throughout the store, including monitoring CCTV footage and identifying any potential risks or hazards.
  3. Collaborate with store management and team members to develop and implement safety and security protocols and procedures.
  4. Train and educate employees on safety and security procedures, including emergency response protocols.
  5. Respond promptly and effectively to any safety or security incidents, including completing incident reports and communicating with appropriate parties.
  6. Conduct investigations into any reported incidents, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
  7. Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
  8. Monitor and manage inventory and merchandise control procedures to prevent theft and loss.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all safety and security incidents, as well as any preventative measures taken.
  10. Stay informed and up-to-date on all safety and security regulations and laws to ensure compliance.
  11. Identify and implement improvements to enhance the safety and security of the store.
  12. Remain professional, courteous, and customer-focused at all times, providing a positive and welcoming environment for customers and coworkers.
  13. Collaborate with other team members to ensure the overall success of the store and its operations.

  • Knowledge Of Loss Prevention And Safety Procedures: A Qualified Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention Strategies And Safety Protocols In A Retail Setting.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Loss Prevention & Safety Associate, One Must Be Detail-Oriented And Able To Identify Potential Safety Hazards Or Loss Prevention Issues Within The Store.

  • Strong Communication Skills: This Role Requires Effective Communication With Both Customers And Colleagues, As Well As The Ability To Document And Report Any Incidents Or Findings.

  • Physical Fitness: The Job May Involve Physical Activities Such As Standing For Long Periods, Walking Throughout The Store, And Lifting And Moving Heavy Objects, So Physical Fitness Is Important.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: A Successful Candidate Should Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Handle Any Safety Or Loss Prevention Issues That May Arise. This May Involve Thinking Quickly On Their Feet And Finding Solutions To Prevent Or Address Potential Risks.
