
Logistics Operations Specialist
IKEA is currently searching for an experienced Logistics Operations Specialist to join our team. As a Logistics Operations Specialist, you will play an essential role in managing the efficient movement of products and materials within our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of goods from suppliers to stores, and ensuring that all processes are carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner. If you have a background in logistics and operations, and are looking for a role with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility, then this could be the perfect role for you.The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics and operations, and excellent organizational and communication skills. You must also be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be comfortable working with large amounts of data. A working knowledge of forecasting and inventory management is also strongly preferred. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of goods from suppliers to stores and ensure processes are carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Manage the efficient movement of products and materials within the organization.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inventories, and other logistics operations.
- Develop and implement plans to improve logistics operations.
- Monitor logistics performance metrics and identify and resolve issues.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Negotiate shipping rates and service contracts with carriers.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Utilize forecasting and inventory management tools to optimize logistics operations.
