We are looking for an experienced Logistics Operations Specialist to join our team at IKEA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s logistics operations, from ordering and receiving to inventory management and transportation. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the principles and practices of international and domestic logistics, a strong sense of teamwork, and a commitment to achieving results. Responsibilities:
• Oversee and coordinate the operations of the company’s logistics department, including ordering, receiving, inventory management, and transportation
• Monitor stock levels and order replenishment to ensure that inventory remains at optimum levels
• Maintain and update records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
• Develop and implement efficient logistics procedures and processes
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, as well as internal policies and procedures
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all customer orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner
• Monitor delivery times and address any issues or delays
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and obtain competitive pricing
• Generate accurate and timely reports as required
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff members
• Troubleshoot any logistics-related problems and provide solutions
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and logistics partners
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
