IHOP is looking for an experienced Sous Chef who will be a great addition to our culinary team. Our ideal candidate is someone with a passion for food, an eye for detail, and an ability to work with a diverse team. The Sous Chef will be an integral part of our IHOP family, and will be responsible for helping to create a delicious and memorable experience for our guests.We are looking for the right individual who has a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role, as well as a proven track record of success in the kitchen. The Sous Chef must have a high level of creativity, be a self-starter and have a strong knowledge of both classic and modern cooking techniques. Attention to detail and a passion for customer service is essential. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude is key. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
Responsibilites:
- Provide guidance and leadership to the culinary team.
- Develop new recipes and menus for the restaurant.
- Ensure that all food preparation, cooking, and presentation meets IHOP standards.
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food ordering, storage, and inventory.
- Monitor food quality and safety standards.
- Ensure that all kitchen staff adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Monitor kitchen staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.
- Assist with budgeting and cost control.
- Ensure that all food items are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the kitchen is operating efficiently.
