- Develop and implement strategic plans for the beverage department in alignment with the overall company goals and objectives.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of beverage operations including inventory management, ordering, and cost control.
- Conduct market research and stay up-to-date with industry trends to identify new beverage products and develop innovative offerings for our menu.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create beverage pairings and enhance the overall dining experience for our guests.
- Manage and train beverage staff, ensuring their product knowledge and service skills are up to company standards.
- Monitor and analyze sales and profitability of beverage offerings, making data-driven decisions to improve and optimize performance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure the best quality and pricing for our beverage products.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to maintain consistency and high standards for all beverage offerings.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies related to beverage operations.
- Continuously assess and improve beverage operations and product development processes to drive efficiency and profitability.
- Collaborate with marketing and advertising teams to promote new and existing beverage offerings through various channels.
- Stay informed of industry trends and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and gather insights on new beverage trends and products.
- Uphold the company's values and ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests and team members.
- Report to senior management on department performance, goals, and opportunities for improvement.
Extensive Industry Experience: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In Beverage Operations And Product Development Within The Food And Beverage Industry, Preferably In A Similar Restaurant Setting.
Strong Leadership Skills: A Successful Manager In This Role Should Possess Strong Leadership Abilities, Including The Ability To Mentor And Motivate A Team Of Beverage Staff, As Well As The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Other Departments.
Creative And Innovative Mindset: The Beverage Industry Is Constantly Evolving, And The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have A Keen Eye For Market Trends And The Ability To Develop New And Innovative Beverage Offerings To Keep Ihop's Menu Fresh And Competitive.
Financial Acumen: As A Manager, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing The Financial Aspects Of Beverage Operations, Including Budgeting, Cost Control, And Pricing Strategies. Therefore, A Strong Understanding Of Financial Management Is A Must.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Position Requires Frequent Communication With Vendors, Suppliers, And Other Internal Departments, As Well As The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships.
