Host/Hostess

At IHOP, we are looking for an enthusiastic Host or Hostess to join our team! Our Host or Hostess will be the first person guests interact with when entering our restaurant, and will be the face of our organization. Our ideal candidate will have the required qualifications listed below, a great attitude, and a warm and inviting personality. Required Qualifications:• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities: • Greet guests upon their arrival to the restaurant and provide them with menus. • Answer incoming calls and take reservations. • Assist in seating customers according to their preferences. • Manage the restaurant waitlist during busy periods. • Ensure all guests are served in a timely and efficient manner. • Ensure all tables are properly set and cleared in a timely manner. • Ensure that all guests have an enjoyable dining experience. • Ensure that all restaurant policies and procedures are adhered to. • Handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions. • Assist with the maintenance of the restaurant, including cleaning and stocking. • Maintain a professional and friendly attitude towards customers and staff at all times. • Other duties as assigned.
