Job Description

Welcome to the IHOP family! We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to join our team and lead our restaurant to success. As the face of IHOP, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations, ensuring exceptional service and delicious food for our guests. We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for hospitality, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing a high-volume restaurant.   1. Manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including overseeing staff, inventory, and finances.
  2. Ensure exceptional customer service is provided to all guests, resolving any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation, ensuring all menu items meet IHOP's standards.
  4. Create and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability, including developing and executing marketing initiatives.
  5. Hire, train, and manage a team of employees, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  6. Monitor and maintain inventory levels, placing orders as needed and minimizing waste.
  7. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  8. Act as the main point of contact for all vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and managing deliveries.
  9. Conduct regular meetings with staff to communicate expectations, provide feedback, and address any concerns.
  10. Collaborate with other IHOP locations and corporate staff to share best practices and implement company initiatives.
  11. Continuously seek out opportunities to improve and streamline processes, resulting in increased efficiency and profitability.
  12. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competition, making recommendations for improvements and adjustments to stay ahead of the competition.
  13. Represent IHOP in a positive and professional manner at all times, both internally and externally.
  14. Take ownership of any issues or challenges that arise, working to find solutions and prevent future occurrences.
  15. Embody the company's values and culture, leading by example and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Restaurant Management: A General Manager At Ihop Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Managing A Restaurant, Preferably In The Casual Dining Industry.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: The General Manager Should Possess Excellent Leadership Qualities And Be Able To Motivate And Manage A Team Of Employees Effectively.

  • Business Acumen: A Successful General Manager At Ihop Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Business Operations, Including Financial Management, Inventory Control, And Marketing Strategies.

  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills: Ihop Prides Itself On Providing Exceptional Customer Service, And The General Manager Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Delivering Outstanding Service To Guests.

  • Knowledge Of Ihop Brand And Menu: The General Manager Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Ihop Brand And Menu Offerings To Ensure Consistent Quality And Service Standards Are Met. This Includes Staying Up-To-Date On New Menu Items And Promotions.
