- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in the critical care setting.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatments.
- Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all hospital and regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.
- Serve as a mentor to new nurses and assist in their transition into the critical care setting.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance nursing practice to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
- Serve as an advocate for patients' rights and needs.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to team-based decision making.
- Maintain current knowledge and competency in critical care nursing through continuing education and professional development.
Current Rn License In The State Of California.
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In A Critical Care Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.
Bls And Acls Certification.
Completion Of A Transition In Practice Program, Such As An Rn Residency Or Fellowship, With A Focus On Critical Care.
Strong Assessment And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Quickly Adapt To Changing Patient Conditions.
