- Develop and implement the RN Residency Program curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the hospital's mission, vision, and values.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to new graduate nurses as they transition into their professional roles.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for RN residents to foster their personal and professional growth.
- Collaborate with nursing leaders and educators to identify the learning needs of RN residents and develop individualized learning plans.
- Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to monitor the progress and performance of RN residents.
- Facilitate educational sessions, workshops, and simulations to enhance the clinical skills and knowledge of RN residents.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the RN Residency Program.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement by encouraging feedback and incorporating suggestions from RN residents.
- Develop and maintain relationships with other departments and healthcare professionals to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection process for RN residents.
- Serve as a role model and advocate for the hospital's values and standards of nursing practice.
- Stay updated on current trends, research, and evidence-based practices in nursing education and incorporate them into the RN Residency Program.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the RN Residency Program, including attendance, evaluations, and progress reports.
- Implement strategies to support RN residents' well-being and work-life balance during the residency program.
- Collaborate with the human resources department to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new RN residents.
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Program.
Valid And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of California.
Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification.
Completion Of A Nursing Residency Program Or One Year Of Acute Care Nursing Experience.
