- Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients with psychiatric needs.
- Serve as a vital member of the healthcare team, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine the appropriate course of treatment for patients.
- Prescribe and monitor medication regimens to address psychiatric symptoms and improve overall well-being.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication management.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with community resources and referral services to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Stay current with the latest developments and advancements in psychiatric care and incorporate them into practice.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient advocacy and maintain a patient-centered approach to care.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for patients, colleagues, and staff.
- Continuously assess and improve the quality of care provided to patients and identify areas for improvement.

Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Pmhnp) From An Accredited Program.
Current Certification As A Pmhnp From The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc) Or The American Academy Of Nurse Practitioners (Aanp).
At Least 2 Years Of Experience As A Pmhnp, Preferably In An Inpatient Psychiatric Setting.
Current And Unrestricted License To Practice As A Nurse Practitioner In The State Of New York.
Bls And Acls Certification, As Well As Experience Managing Psychiatric Emergencies And Crisis Situations.
