
Environmental Service Aide, PT Evenings

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Service Aide to join our team on a part-time evening shift. In this role, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, waiting areas, and common spaces.
- Regularly clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, handrails, and public restrooms.
- Empty and dispose of trash and medical waste in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Restock and replenish supplies, such as paper towels, soap, and hand sanitizer, as needed.
- Follow infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of illnesses and infections.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling hazardous materials.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment for special events or meetings.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by responding to requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the Environmental Services team to ensure a seamless and efficient cleaning process.
- Attend training and educational sessions to stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive information.
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures, including attendance and punctuality standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and suggest ways to improve the environmental services department.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Environmental Services Supervisor or Manager.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For An Environmental Service Aide, Pt Evenings Job At Huntington Hospital Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Can Perform Tasks That Require Reading, Writing, And Basic Mathematical Skills.
