Clinical Director: Surgical Services

Huntington Hospital is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Director of Surgical Services to join our team. The Clinical Director of Surgical Services will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the surgical services department, ensuring quality patient care and compliance with established standards. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.• Current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of California.• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in surgical services in an acute care setting.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role.• Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and standards.• Knowledge of process improvement principles.• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to assess personnel performance and provide feedback.• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the surgical services department, ensuring quality patient care and compliance with established standards. • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to patient care in the surgical services department. • Monitor and assess staff performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed. • Coordinate patient care services with other departments in the hospital. • Monitor financial performance of the surgical services department, developing strategies for cost savings and revenue growth. • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and standards. • Develop and manage budgets for the surgical services department. • Develop and maintain positive relationships with physicians, hospital staff, and other healthcare professionals. • Assess and evaluate new technologies and services to ensure quality patient care. • Provide leadership and mentorship to staff members.
