  1. Conduct thorough investigations of potential trade compliance violations and identify any areas of noncompliance.
  2. Ensure compliance with all applicable international trade laws and regulations.
  3. Stay updated on changes in global trade laws and regulations and communicate any updates to relevant stakeholders.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement trade compliance policies and procedures.
  5. Analyze data and maintain accurate records of trade compliance activities.
  6. Identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them.
  7. Monitor and review trade documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  8. Train employees on trade compliance policies and procedures.
  9. Communicate with authorities and government agencies regarding trade compliance matters.
  10. Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and identify any areas for improvement.
  11. Participate in trade compliance audits and investigations.
  12. Maintain a strong understanding of Honeywell's products and services to ensure compliance in all trade activities.
  13. Provide guidance and support to other departments in regards to trade compliance matters.
  14. Act as a point of contact for any trade compliance inquiries or concerns.
  15. Uphold Honeywell's commitment to ethical and legal trade practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Trade Compliance Regulations: A Trade Compliance Investigator At Honeywell Should Have A Deep Understanding Of International Trade Laws And Regulations, Including But Not Limited To Export Administration Regulations (Ear), International Traffic In Arms Regulations (Itar), And Customs Regulations.

  • Analytical Skills: This Role Requires Strong Analytical Skills To Review And Assess Complex Data Related To Trade Transactions. The Ability To Identify Patterns, Anomalies, And Potential Compliance Risks Is Crucial For The Success Of A Trade Compliance Investigator.

  • Attention To Detail: Trade Compliance Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Ensure Accuracy And Adherence To Regulations. A Trade Compliance Investigator Must Be Meticulous In Reviewing Documents And Identifying Any Errors Or Discrepancies That May Lead To Compliance Issues.

  • Communication Skills: Good Communication Skills Are Essential For A Trade Compliance Investigator To Effectively Interact With Internal And External Stakeholders. This Includes Writing Clear And Concise Reports, As Well As Communicating Complex Trade Compliance Concepts To Non-Experts.

  • Experience In Investigations: Prior Experience Conducting Investigations Is Highly Desirable For A Trade Compliance Investigator. This Could Include Experience In Conducting Audits, Compliance Reviews, Or Other Investigative Work Related To International Trade. Knowledge Of Investigative Techniques And Methodologies Is Also Beneficial.
