- Conduct financial analysis and due diligence for potential and completed acquisitions.
- Prepare and maintain financial models, projections, and valuations for M&A transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets.
- Analyze and interpret financial statements, data, and trends to provide insights and recommendations for M&A strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external advisors, such as investment banks and legal counsel, to support M&A activities.
- Assist in the negotiation and structuring of M&A deals to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of M&A activity and related financial information to senior management.
- Monitor and track post-acquisition performance and provide analysis and recommendations for integration and optimization.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices related to M&A and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure proper recording and reporting of M&A transactions in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements related to M&A activities.
- Mentor and train junior team members and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Act as a subject matter expert for M&A related accounting and financial matters.
- Proactively identify and address potential risks and issues related to M&A transactions.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.
Extensive Knowledge Of Mergers & Acquisitions: The Sr Accounting Analyst Must Have A Solid Understanding Of The Mergers And Acquisitions Process, Including Financial Due Diligence, Valuation, And Integration. They Should Be Able To Effectively Identify And Communicate Potential Risks And Opportunities Related To M&A Transactions.
Strong Analytical And Financial Skills: This Role Requires A High Level Of Financial Acumen And Analytical Skills To Evaluate Financial Statements, Perform Financial Modeling, And Make Recommendations Based On Financial Data. The Sr Accounting Analyst Should Be Proficient In Using Financial Software And Tools To Analyze Financial Data Accurately And Efficiently.
Experience In Accounting And Financial Reporting: A Sr Accounting Analyst Should Have A Strong Background In Accounting And Financial Reporting, Including Understanding Of Gaap And Sec Regulations. They Should Be Able To Prepare And Review Financial Statements, Footnote Disclosures, And Support Schedules For M&A Transactions.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Position Involves Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Finance, Legal, And Operations. The Sr Accounting Analyst Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate And Build Relationships With These Teams.
Proven Project Management Experience: Mergers And Acquisitions Can Be Complex And Time-Sensitive Projects. The Sr Accounting Analyst Should Have Experience In Project Management And Be Able To Successfully Manage Multiple M&A Transactions Simultaneously. They Should Be Able To Prioritize Tasks, Meet Deadlines, And Provide Regular Updates To Stakeholders.
