- Develop and implement process safety management strategies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety hazards and develop mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and improve existing processes and equipment designs to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Conduct mechanical integrity inspections and audits to ensure equipment is functioning properly and in accordance with standards and regulations.
- Monitor and track safety performance metrics and provide regular updates to management.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on process safety management and mechanical integrity best practices.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in process safety and mechanical integrity to continuously improve processes and procedures.
- Work closely with regulatory agencies and external auditors to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical support and guidance to other team members and departments.
- Proactively identify potential process safety and mechanical integrity risks and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure equipment and materials meet safety and quality standards.
- Participate in emergency response planning and drills to ensure preparedness in the event of an incident.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of process safety and mechanical integrity activities.
- Promote a strong safety culture and actively participate in safety meetings and initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Engineering Principles And Concepts Is Essential For A Process Safety Management & Mechanical Integrity Engineer At Honeywell. A Degree In Chemical, Mechanical, Or Industrial Engineering Would Be Preferred.
Experience With Process Safety Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Process Safety Management, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Industrial Setting. This Includes A Thorough Understanding Of Osha's Process Safety Management (Psm) Standard And Related Regulations.
Knowledge Of Mechanical Integrity Practices: Honeywell Is Looking For Someone With A Deep Understanding Of Mechanical Integrity Principles, Including Equipment Design, Inspection Techniques, And Maintenance Strategies. Experience With Reliability Engineering And Risk-Based Inspection Methods Is Also Desirable.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Process Safety Management & Mechanical Integrity Engineer, You Will Be Responsible For Identifying And Addressing Potential Safety Hazards In The Manufacturing Process. Therefore, Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills Are A Must To Effectively Assess Risks And Develop Solutions.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Abilities: This Role Will Require Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Operations, Maintenance, And Safety Personnel. Therefore, Effective Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Crucial For Success In This Role. Previous Experience Leading Or Coordinating Safety-Related Projects Is Also Desirable.
