2. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
3. Set up machines, including selecting and installing appropriate cutting tools, adjusting speeds and feeds, and making necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy.
4. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure proper functioning and prevent downtime.
5. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
6. Identify and troubleshoot any issues or defects in the production process, making necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality output.
7. Collaborate with engineers and production team to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
8. Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
9. Keep detailed records of production processes, including machine settings, and report any issues or concerns to supervisors.
10. Continuously strive for improvement and stay updated on new technologies and techniques in the machining industry.
11. Train and mentor junior machinists to ensure they are following proper procedures and producing high-quality work.
