- Develop and implement the technology strategy and roadmap for the Sensing Solutions business, in alignment with the overall company goals and objectives.
- Stay informed and up-to-date on emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscape to identify potential opportunities and threats.
- Lead a team of technology professionals to drive innovation and develop new and improved sensing solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, sales, and operations to ensure successful execution of technology plans.
- Conduct market and customer research to understand their needs and identify areas for improvement or new product development.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the Sensing Solutions business.
- Manage the budget and resources allocated for technology initiatives, ensuring efficient and effective use.
- Communicate regularly with senior leadership on the progress and performance of technology initiatives and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry experts to stay informed on advancements in technology and potential partnership opportunities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and spokesperson for the Sensing Solutions business in regards to technology and innovation.
- Ensure all technology solutions comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of customer needs and use this knowledge to drive technology development and innovation.
- Mentor and develop team members to grow their technical expertise and leadership abilities.
- Represent Honeywell as a thought leader in the technology industry through speaking engagements, conferences, and other networking opportunities.
Extensive Technical Knowledge And Expertise: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Advanced Sensing Technologies, Including But Not Limited To Iot, Ai, Machine Learning, And Data Analytics. They Should Also Have A Deep Understanding Of Hardware And Software Development, As Well As Experience In Integrating Complex Systems.
Leadership And Strategic Vision: As The Head Of The Sensing Solutions Division, The Cto Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Leading Cross-Functional Teams And Driving Successful Technology Initiatives. They Should Also Have A Strategic Mindset, With The Ability To Anticipate Future Trends And Develop Innovative Solutions To Meet Market Demands.
Business Acumen: The Cto Should Have A Strong Business Acumen And The Ability To Align Technology Strategies With Business Goals. They Should Have Experience In Developing And Managing Budgets, As Well As A Deep Understanding Of Market Trends, Competitive Landscape, And Customer Needs.
Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Successful Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With A Diverse Group Of Stakeholders, Including Engineers, Executives, Customers, And External Partners. They Should Also Be Able To Communicate Complex Technical Concepts To Non-Technical Audiences.
Education And Experience: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Or A Related Field Is Required For This Role. The Ideal Candidate Should Also Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In A Senior Technology Leadership Position, Preferably In The Sensing Solutions Industry. Experience In Managing Global Teams And Working In A Multinational Corporation Is Also Highly Desirable.
