Experience With Building Automation Systems (Bas): The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Bas Technology, Including Programming, Installation, And Troubleshooting. They Should Also Be Familiar With Different Protocols Such As Bacnet, Modbus, And Lonworks.
Electrical And Mechanical Knowledge: A Building Automation Controls Technician Should Have A Background In Both Electrical And Mechanical Engineering. They Should Be Able To Read And Interpret Wiring Diagrams, Understand Hvac Systems, And Have A Basic Understanding Of Electrical Circuits And Components.
Technical Certifications: Honeywell May Require Candidates To Have Certain Technical Certifications Such As Certified Energy Manager (Cem), Certified Automation Professional (Cap), Or Certified Energy Auditor (Cea).
