Job Qualifications
  • Experience With Building Automation Systems (Bas): The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Bas Technology, Including Programming, Installation, And Troubleshooting. They Should Also Be Familiar With Different Protocols Such As Bacnet, Modbus, And Lonworks.

  • Electrical And Mechanical Knowledge: A Building Automation Controls Technician Should Have A Background In Both Electrical And Mechanical Engineering. They Should Be Able To Read And Interpret Wiring Diagrams, Understand Hvac Systems, And Have A Basic Understanding Of Electrical Circuits And Components.

  • Technical Certifications: Honeywell May Require Candidates To Have Certain Technical Certifications Such As Certified Energy Manager (Cem), Certified Automation Professional (Cap), Or Certified Energy Auditor (Cea). These Certifications Demonstrate Expertise And Proficiency In The Field Of Building Automation.

  • Computer Skills: With The Increasing Use Of Technology In Building Automation, Proficiency In Computer Skills Is Crucial. Candidates Should Be Familiar With Various Software Programs Used In Building Automation, As Well As Be Able To Troubleshoot And Resolve Computer-Related Issues.
