- Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and laws to maintain the highest standards of trade compliance at Honda Motor Company.
- Work closely with customs brokers and internal teams to ensure smooth flow of goods across international borders.
- Maintain a strong understanding of trade compliance requirements and stay up-to-date with any changes in regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify potential compliance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all customs documentation and declarations.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to resolve any compliance-related issues.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy in customs processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement training programs on trade compliance for employees.
- Maintain organized records of all customs-related activities and documentation.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and ensure that Honda Motor Company's trade compliance processes are aligned with them.
Knowledge Of Customs Regulations: The Trade Compliance Customs Administrator Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Customs Regulations And Laws Governing International Trade, Including Import And Export Regulations, Duty Rates And Classifications, And Country Of Origin Requirements.
Experience With Import/Export Processes: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Practical Experience In Managing Import And Export Processes, Including Customs Clearance, Documentation, And Compliance Requirements. This Includes Knowledge Of Hts Codes, Eccn, And Other Trade-Related Codes.
Attention To Detail: A Trade Compliance Customs Administrator Must Have Excellent Attention To Detail To Ensure That All Documentation And Processes Are Accurate And Compliant With Customs Regulations. They Should Also Be Able To Identify Potential Issues And Resolve Them Promptly.
Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Communication With Internal And External Stakeholders, Including Customs Officials, Freight Forwarders, And Other Trade Partners. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Effectively Manage These Relationships And Resolve Any Trade-Related Issues.
Analytical Skills: A Trade Compliance Customs Administrator Should Have Strong Analytical Skills To Evaluate Trade Data, Identify Trends, And Make Recommendations To Improve Compliance Processes And Reduce Risk. Experience With Trade Compliance Software Is Also Desirable.
