- Manage and administer all leave of absence programs, including FMLA, state-specific leave laws, and company policies.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all leave of absence and benefits related inquiries from employees, managers, and HR colleagues.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to provide guidance and support to managers and employees during leaves of absence.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to leave of absence programs and employee benefits.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of leave of absence and benefits data.
- Develop and maintain relationships with third-party vendors to ensure efficient and effective administration of leave and benefit programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs related to leave of absence and employee benefits.
- Analyze leave of absence and benefits data to identify trends, make recommendations, and drive process improvements.
- Educate and train managers and HR colleagues on leave of absence and benefit programs and procedures.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve leave of absence and benefit offerings.
- Participate in the planning and execution of open enrollment and other benefits-related initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact for escalated leave of absence and benefits issues.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication and documentation throughout the leave of absence process.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive leave and benefits information.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, managers, and HR colleagues regarding leave of absence and benefits inquiries.
Extensive Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws, Regulations, And Industry Best Practices Related To Leave Of Absence (Loa) And Benefits Administration. This Includes A Thorough Understanding Of The Family And Medical Leave Act (Fmla), Americans With Disabilities Act (Ada), And Other Relevant Legislation.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Corporate Environment. This Should Include Experience Managing Loa And Benefits Processes For A Large Employee Population, As Well As Overseeing Vendor Relationships And Ensuring Compliance With Applicable Laws And Regulations.
Strong Analytical Skills And Attention To Detail, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Data And Information And Make Informed Decisions Based On That Analysis. This Includes The Ability To Identify Trends, Troubleshoot Issues, And Develop Creative Solutions To Problems.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Employees At All Levels Of The Organization, As Well As External Vendors And Partners. This Includes The Ability To Present Information In A Clear And Concise Manner, And To Handle Sensitive And Confidential Information With Tact And Professionalism.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field. Shrm-Cp Or Shrm-Scp Certification Is Preferred. Additional Training Or Certification In Loa And Benefits Administration Is Also Highly Desirable.
