- Inspect incoming materials and components according to established quality standards and procedures.
- Ensure all materials and components meet specifications and are free from defects.
- Accurately record and report any discrepancies or issues with incoming materials.
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve any quality issues or concerns.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all incoming materials.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as production and purchasing, to ensure timely and efficient receipt of materials.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of incoming materials to ensure production needs are met.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while handling and inspecting materials.
- Identify areas for improvement in the receiving and inspection process and make recommendations for changes.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
- Keep up-to-date with any changes in regulations or standards related to incoming materials.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

Knowledge Of Quality Control Processes: A Receiving Inspector At Hologic Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Quality Control Processes And Be Able To Identify Defects Or Discrepancies In Incoming Materials.
Attention To Detail: This Role Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Accurately Inspect And Document Incoming Materials. A Receiving Inspector Should Have A Sharp Eye For Identifying Potential Issues And Discrepancies.
Experience With Measuring Tools: Candidates For This Position Should Have Experience Using Measuring Tools Such As Calipers, Micrometers, And Gauges To Ensure The Accuracy Of Incoming Materials.
Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For A Receiving Inspector, As They Will Need To Work Closely With Other Members Of The Quality Control Team, As Well As Suppliers And Vendors, To Ensure That Materials Meet Required Specifications.
Quality Control Certification: While Not Always Required, A Certification In Quality Control Or A Related Field Can Be Beneficial For A Receiving Inspector Position At Hologic. This Demonstrates A Candidate's Understanding And Knowledge Of Quality Control Processes And Procedures.
