Job Description

Welcome to Holiday Inn Hotels! We are currently seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Events Manager to join our team. As the Senior Events Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing various events at our hotels. You will work closely with clients, vendors and hotel staff to ensure successful and memorable events for our guests.   1. Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including but not limited to weddings, conferences, corporate events, and social gatherings.
  2. Work closely with clients to understand their event needs and ensure their expectations are met or exceeded.
  3. Collaborate with hotel staff to ensure all event spaces and services are prepared and executed according to client specifications and hotel standards.
  4. Source and negotiate with vendors to secure the best rates and services for events, including catering, audio-visual equipment, and decorations.
  5. Create event budgets and manage expenses to ensure events are profitable for the hotel.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and hotel staff to ensure excellent customer service and repeat business.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and implement innovative ideas to enhance events and attract new clients.
  8. Oversee event set-up and breakdown, ensuring all details are executed flawlessly and in a timely manner.
  9. Handle any issues or concerns that arise during events, and provide solutions to ensure a seamless experience for clients and guests.
  10. Conduct post-event evaluations and gather feedback from clients to continuously improve event planning processes and services.
  11. Train and mentor junior event staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of events.
  12. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all events, including contracts, invoices, and client information.
  13. Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to event planning and management.
  14. Represent the hotel at industry events and networking opportunities to promote the hotel and attract new business.
  15. Foster a positive and professional work environment, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and open communication with colleagues and clients.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Hospitality Management Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Event Management, Preferably In A Hotel Setting.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills To Effectively Manage A Team And Work With Clients.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Planning And Executing Large-Scale Events With High Levels Of Customer Satisfaction.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Event Industry Trends, Technology, And Best Practices.
