Job Description

Do you have excellent communication skills and a knack for organization? We are currently seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Reservation Agent to join our team. As a Reservation Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience from start to finish. If you have a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and a desire to be part of a dynamic team, we want to hear from you!

  1. Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival at the hotel.
  2. Assist guests with the reservation process, including booking, modifying, and canceling reservations.
  3. Provide accurate information to guests regarding room rates, availability, and hotel amenities.
  4. Handle all guest inquiries and requests promptly and efficiently.
  5. Maintain a thorough understanding of the hotel's policies and procedures to provide guests with accurate and helpful information.
  6. Ensure all reservations are accurately recorded and input into the hotel's system.
  7. Monitor and manage room inventory to maximize occupancy and revenue.
  8. Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure guest needs are met and exceeded.
  9. Process payments and handle billing inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
  10. Strive to resolve any guest complaints or issues with a positive and solution-oriented attitude.
  11. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.
  12. Keep up-to-date with hotel promotions, packages, and discounts to effectively promote and upsell to guests.
  13. Assist in training new reservation agents as needed.
  14. Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of guests and colleagues.
  15. Contribute to a positive and welcoming work environment for all team members.

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: A Reservation Agent At Holiday Inn Hotels Must Possess Exceptional Customer Service Skills In Order To Effectively Handle Guest Inquiries And Bookings. This Includes Being Friendly, Patient, And Able To Provide Accurate And Helpful Information To Guests.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Ability To Communicate Clearly And Effectively Is Crucial For A Reservation Agent. They Must Be Able To Communicate With Guests, Colleagues, And Other Departments Within The Hotel To Ensure A Smooth Booking Process.

  • Attention To Detail: A Reservation Agent Must Have Excellent Attention To Detail To Ensure That All Guest Information Is Accurately Recorded And Reservations Are Made Without Errors. This Includes Inputting Guest Information, Room Preferences, And Special Requests.

  • Ability To Multitask: Working As A Reservation Agent Requires The Ability To Multitask And Handle Multiple Reservations At Once. They Must Be Able To Prioritize Tasks And Manage Their Time Effectively In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Reservation Systems: A Reservation Agent Should Have Experience And Knowledge Of Reservation Systems, Such As Opera, To Efficiently Manage Reservations And Make Changes As Needed. They Should Also Be Proficient In Using Computer Systems And Have Basic Math Skills.
