
Receiving Clerk
Welcome to Holiday Inn Hotels! We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Receiving Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of all goods and supplies to our hotel, as well as maintaining inventory and monitoring stock levels. - Receive and process all deliveries of goods and supplies to the hotel in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming shipments and update inventory accordingly.
- Monitor stock levels and inform management of any shortages or excess inventory.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Inspect all deliveries for damages or discrepancies and report any issues to management.
- Follow proper storage and labeling procedures for all received items.
- Assist with unloading and storing heavy or bulky items.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Collaborate with other departments to fulfill their supply needs.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding any delivery or inventory issues.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols while handling deliveries.
- Perform periodic inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of physical inventory counts.
- Train and supervise other receiving staff as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service to vendors, suppliers, and other team members.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Typically Required For A Receiving Clerk Position At Holiday Inn Hotels. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Can Understand And Follow Instructions.
Previous Experience In A Similar Role: Holiday Inn Hotels May Require Candidates To Have Previous Experience As A Receiving Clerk Or In A Similar Role Such As A Warehouse Associate Or Inventory Control Specialist. This Experience Will Demonstrate The Candidate's Knowledge Of Receiving Procedures And Inventory Management.
Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills: As A Receiving Clerk, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing And Organizing Incoming Shipments, Maintaining Accurate Inventory Records, And Coordinating With Other Hotel Departments. Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills Are Essential To Ensure Efficient And Timely Handling Of Goods.
Knowledge Of Computer Systems And Inventory Software: Holiday Inn Hotels May Require Candidates To Have Basic Computer Skills And Experience Using Inventory Management Software. This Will Enable The Candidate To Enter And Track Inventory Data Accurately And Efficiently.
Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift Heavy Objects: Receiving Clerks At Holiday Inn Hotels May Be Required To Lift And Move Heavy Boxes, Furniture, And Other Items. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Lift At Least 50 Pounds Without Difficulty.
