As a Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hotel by managing the receiving and distribution of goods and supplies. - Receive and inspect all incoming deliveries to ensure they meet hotel standards and match purchase orders.
- Accurately input and track all received items in the hotel's inventory system.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to resolve any delivery discrepancies or issues.
- Organize and maintain the storeroom and warehouse, ensuring items are properly labeled, stored, and rotated.
- Collaborate with the hotel's purchasing department to ensure timely and accurate ordering of supplies.
- Communicate with various departments within the hotel to understand their specific needs and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Ensure all received items are properly stored and accounted for to prevent loss or damage.
- Create and maintain reports on inventory levels, delivery times, and any supply shortages.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in conducting regular physical inventory counts.
- Assist in the distribution of goods to different departments as needed.
- Follow all safety and sanitation protocols when handling and storing items.
- Train and supervise other receiving and warehouse staff.
- Communicate any issues or concerns with management to ensure efficient operations.
- Uphold the hotel's standards of exceptional customer service and hospitality.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and increase efficiency in the receiving department.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Receiving Clerk At Holiday Inn Hotels Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Previous Experience In A Similar Role: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Receiving Or Inventory Management Role, Preferably In The Hospitality Industry.
Knowledge Of Inventory Management Systems: Proficiency In Using Inventory Management Software And Systems Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Be Able To Accurately Track And Record Incoming And Outgoing Shipments.
Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift Heavy Objects: This Role Requires A Lot Of Physical Activity, Including The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Objects Such As Furniture And Supplies. Candidates Should Be Able To Meet The Physical Demands Of The Job.
Attention To Detail: As A Receiving Clerk, Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Ensuring Accurate Record-Keeping And Inventory Management. Candidates Should Have Strong Organizational Skills And The Ability To Multi-Task In A Fast-Paced Environment.
