Welcome to the Holiday Inn Hotels team! We are currently seeking a dedicated and customer-focused On-Call Server Banquet to join our dynamic banquet team. As an On-Call Server Banquet, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional service to our guests during various banquet events. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and are able to work flexible hours. Greet and welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner, creating a positive first impression of the hotel and its banquet services.
Prepare banquet rooms according to event specifications, including setting up tables, chairs, and any necessary equipment.
Serve food and beverages to guests during banquet events, ensuring prompt and efficient service.
Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and courteously to requests.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests with menu selections and accommodate their dietary needs.
Monitor guest satisfaction and address any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
Communicate effectively with team members and other hotel staff to ensure smooth and efficient execution of events.
Assist with event setup and breakdown, including cleaning and organizing banquet spaces.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, representing the hotel and its brand in a positive light.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards of service.
Attend training and meetings as required to stay updated on hotel and banquet service standards.
Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate the varying needs of banquet events and the hotel's business.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a successful and memorable event experience for guests.
Continuously strive to improve guest satisfaction and enhance the overall banquet service experience.

Job Qualifications

Experience In The Service Industry: Candidates For An On-Call Server Banquet Job At Holiday Inn Hotels Should Have Prior Experience Working In The Service Industry, Preferably In A Banquet Or Catering Setting. This Will Ensure That They Are Comfortable With The Fast-Paced And Customer-Oriented Nature Of The Job.
Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills: On-Call Server Banquet Staff Are Responsible For Interacting With A Variety Of Guests And Team Members, So Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills Are Crucial. The Ability To Remain Professional And Friendly In All Situations Is Highly Valued.
Knowledge Of Food And Beverage Safety: Banquet Servers At Holiday Inn Hotels Are Expected To Handle And Serve Food And Beverages In A Safe And Hygienic Manner. Candidates Should Have A Good Understanding Of Food And Beverage Safety Protocols And Be Able To Follow Them Consistently.
Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift Heavy Objects: This Position May Require Long Hours Of Standing And Carrying Trays Or Tables, So Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Demands Of The Job. The Ability To Lift And Carry Heavy Objects Is Also Important For Setting Up And Breaking Down Banquet Events.
Flexibility And Availability: As An On-Call Server Banquet, Candidates Should Be Able To Work A Flexible Schedule, Including Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays. They Should Also Be Available To Work On Short Notice, As This Position May Require Filling In For Other Servers Who Call In Sick Or For Last-Minute Events.
