We are currently seeking an On-Call Server Banquet to join our team and help us continue to exceed our guests' expectations.As an On-Call Server Banquet, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of banquets and events by providing top-notch customer service, efficiently serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized banquet room. This role requires a dynamic and personable individual who embodies our commitment to excellence.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Provide exceptional customer service to guests attending banquets and events.
Efficiently serve food and beverages to guests, following all service standards and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized banquet room, including setting up and breaking down tables, chairs, and other event equipment.
Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Anticipate guests' needs and proactively address any issues that may arise.
Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations while handling food and beverages.
Collaborate with the event coordinator and other team members to ensure successful execution of events.
Keep a positive and professional attitude at all times, representing the brand and upholding its standards.
Be knowledgeable about the menu and able to make recommendations to guests.
Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
Follow proper procedures for handling and storing banquet equipment and supplies.
Attend all required training and meetings to continuously improve performance.
Maintain a clean and professional appearance, following dress code guidelines.
Provide assistance to other team members as needed.
Uphold the values and mission of Holiday Inn Hotels in all interactions with guests and colleagues.

Job Qualifications

Previous Experience In Banquet Serving: Candidates For This On-Call Server Banquet Job At Holiday Inn Hotels Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Hotel Setting. This Experience Will Ensure That The Candidate Is Familiar With Banquet Service Procedures And Can Handle High-Pressure Situations.
Strong Communication Skills: On-Call Servers Need To Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Guests, Event Planners, And Other Staff Members. This Includes Taking Orders, Answering Questions, And Providing Recommendations. Clear And Friendly Communication Is Essential For Creating A Positive Guest Experience.
Ability To Multitask: Working In A Fast-Paced Banquet Setting Requires The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks At Once. On-Call Servers Should Be Able To Prioritize And Manage Their Time Effectively To Ensure That All Guests Are Served In A Timely Manner.
Professional Appearance And Demeanor: As Representatives Of Holiday Inn Hotels, On-Call Servers Should Present Themselves Professionally At All Times. This Includes Maintaining A Clean And Neat Appearance, Following Dress Code Guidelines, And Exhibiting A Friendly And Welcoming Attitude Towards Guests.
Knowledge Of Food And Beverage: While On-Call Servers Do Not Need To Be Culinary Experts, They Should Have A Basic Understanding Of Food And Beverage. This Includes Being Able To Identify Different Types Of Food And Drinks, Make Recommendations To Guests, And Handle Any Special Requests Or Dietary Restrictions.
