Job Description

As the Occupational Health and Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.   1. Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits of the hotel premises to identify potential hazards and risks.
  3. Collaborate with department managers to identify and address any health and safety concerns within their areas of responsibility.
  4. Create and deliver training programs to educate employees on health and safety protocols and procedures.
  5. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to occupational health and safety.
  6. Stay up-to-date on current health and safety laws and regulations and ensure the hotel is in compliance.
  7. Serve as the primary point of contact for all health and safety inquiries and concerns from guests and employees.
  8. Investigate and report any incidents or accidents and make recommendations for improvements to prevent future occurrences.
  9. Work closely with management to develop emergency response plans and procedures.
  10. Conduct regular meetings and communication with all employees to promote a culture of safety.
  11. Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to stay informed about best practices and industry trends in occupational health and safety.
  12. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety programs and make recommendations for improvements.
  13. Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of safety equipment and ensure all employees are trained on how to use it.
  14. Serve as a role model for health and safety practices and promote a positive and safe work environment.
  15. Respond to any health and safety emergencies and take appropriate action to mitigate risks and ensure the well-being of all guests and employees.

Job Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety Or A Related Field Such As Environmental Science Or Industrial Hygiene.

  • A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Hospitality Industry.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Relevant Osha Regulations, As Well As State And Local Health And Safety Laws.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Proper Safety Procedures.

  • Certification In Occupational Health And Safety, Such As The Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Occupational Health And Safety Technologist (Ohst), Is Preferred.
