
Occupational Health and Safety Manager

- Develop and implement occupational health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of the hotel facilities to identify potential hazards and risks.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive safety training program for all employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing training sessions.
- Monitor and investigate any workplace accidents or incidents, and develop and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to occupational health and safety, including incident reports, training records, and safety data sheets.
- Coordinate with department managers to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and facilitate safety meetings.
- Stay updated on any changes in occupational health and safety laws and regulations and ensure the hotel's practices are in compliance.
- Conduct regular safety meetings with employees to discuss any safety concerns and provide guidance on safe work practices.
- Collaborate with management and HR to develop emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
- Manage the hotel's safety equipment and supplies, and ensure they are properly maintained and accessible to all employees.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external health and safety agencies and vendors.
- Act as a resource for employees regarding occupational health and safety concerns.
- Maintain a positive and proactive approach towards promoting a culture of safety within the hotel.
- Investigate and respond to any guest complaints or concerns related to health and safety.
- Prepare and present reports on occupational health and safety performance to management as needed.
Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Occupational Health And Safety Management.
Certification In Occupational Health And Safety, Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih).
In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations And Standards Related To Occupational Health And Safety.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Train And Educate Employees On Safety Protocols And Procedures.
