As our Occupational Health and Safety Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our guests and employees. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team and lead our efforts in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.   1. Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  3. Train and educate employees on safe work practices and emergency procedures.
  4. Collaborate with department managers to develop safety plans for specific areas and activities.
  5. Investigate accidents and incidents and provide recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
  6. Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training, and inspections.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices for occupational health and safety.
  8. Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management strategies.
  9. Communicate and collaborate with outside agencies and regulatory bodies, such as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
  10. Develop and implement emergency response plans.
  11. Manage and maintain safety equipment and supplies.
  12. Conduct safety training for all new employees and provide refresher training as needed.
  13. Conduct regular safety meetings with employees to discuss safety concerns and address any issues.
  14. Monitor employee compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  15. Provide support and guidance to employees on health and safety matters.
  16. Create and maintain safety policies and procedures manuals.
  17. Ensure all safety signage is visible and up-to-date.
  18. Collaborate with the HR department to develop wellness programs for employees.
  19. Communicate with guests and address any safety concerns or incidents.
  20. Continuously evaluate and improve the health and safety program.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Occupational Health And Safety Principles Is Essential For This Role. A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Occupational Health And Safety, Environmental Health, Or Public Health Is Typically Required For An Occupational Health And Safety Manager At Holiday Inn Hotels.

  • Certification In Occupational Health And Safety: In Addition To A Degree, Candidates Should Possess Relevant Certifications Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp), Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih), Or Occupational Health And Safety Technician (Ohst).

  • Previous Experience In A Similar Role: Holiday Inn Hotels Would Prefer Candidates Who Have Held A Similar Position In The Past. Previous Experience In Occupational Health And Safety Management, Preferably In The Hospitality Industry, Is Highly Desirable.

  • Knowledge Of Relevant Laws And Regulations: Occupational Health And Safety Managers At Holiday Inn Hotels Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Laws And Regulations Pertaining To Workplace Safety. This Includes But Is Not Limited To Osha Regulations, Fire Safety Codes, And Environmental Health Standards.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Manager, Strong Communication And Leadership Skills Are Crucial For Success In This Role. The Occupational Health And Safety Manager At Holiday Inn Hotels Will Be Responsible For Training And Educating Employees On Safety Protocols, Conducting Safety Audits, And Implementing Safety Programs, So The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Lead Is Essential.
